To understand what happened on Easter I want to show you why Easter had to happen in the first place.
Please join me as I take you to the time before this world existed!
Before this world existed - other worlds had been created with their inhabitants. Back in these days, evil was not known, sickness and death were not existing - life was perfect!
Everyone had their tasks and responsibilities that made their life fulfilling.
There was this angel who was in charge of the music for the creator GOD!
This angel was created most beautiful and full of wisdom (Ezekiel 28:12). He was called Lucifer - eventually, he became proud and desired to be God, in fact, to replace God.
Lucifer used his wisdom to deceive other angels and beings, convincing them that God is unjust.
Soon the other angels believed the lies and they fought against God.
God chose the option to prove to all created beings that He is just.
Therefore God chose that every being can see His true character as well as the character of Lucifer (Revelation 12:7-9).
As there is no neutral judge, our world is to reveal the true character of Lucifer and the infinite love of God.
All humans are very special as we have been created in His own image (Genesis 1:27)!
Lucifer and his following angels were given full access to this newly created world in which all was perfect (Genisis 1:31) - just like in heaven. Our first parents walked with God and the angels. They had been warned not to succumb to the temptation of eating from the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil.
Eventually, Lucifer convinced Eve to disobey God (Genisis 3:1-4). From then on things started to change, Lucifer, also known as Satan was unconstraint to have mankind taste evil in all its form.
Adam and Eve had been warned that if they do disobey God - they will experience death. To illustrate the consequence of their disobedience God clothed Adam and Eve with the skin of an innocent animal. (Genisis 3:21).
Humanity started to experience sickness, hunger, pain, death etc... Life changed and unlike other created worlds, the human race experienced the results of trying to live without God - the creator of all life Himself!
Fast forward to the time Jesus walked on earth - He, the son of God, chose to humble himself and become human (Philippians 2:6-8).
He showed humanity and all other beings the goodness and grace of God. Jesus was born as a baby to show how a godly life looks like - after he was 30 years old he started to preach of the kingdom of God, heal the sick and even raise the dead.
Lucifer was trying to stop the work of Jesus from his birth and throughout his life. He tempted Jesus to renounce His divine mission and fought against every action Jesus did (Mattew 4:1-10).
Jesus knew that all the other worlds are looking at what is happening on this earth. He knew that he came to show Gods justice and to free humanity from the bondage under which he (Lucifer) had made our forefathers fall into - the sin that started in heaven, as Lucifer rebelled against God, the way and source of life.
This brings us now to our easter story - the death and the resurrection of Jesus!
The death of Jesus on the cross shocked all the angels and other beings as they did not imagine that Lucifer would actually kill the son of God. The moment when Jesus gave his soul in his father's hands and died something important happened in the temple. The temple was built after the instructions given by God to Moses (you can read these in the chapters of Exodus 25-31). In the Holy part, the people were allowed in but in the Most Holy part, only the high priest was allowed once a year at Passover. Now Jesus died on Passover and the moment he died the curtain, separating the Holy from the Most Holy was separated by God's own hand (Matthew 27:51-54) - since then we can come to God without a high priest. Jesus died Friday afternoon and he rose from the dead on Sunday morning, that morning an angel rolled the stone of the grave opened. (Matthew 28:1-10).
Because of the ultimate sacrifice done by Jesus the Son of God, the true character of Lucifer has been revealed as well as the infinite love of God towards us. Jesus has freed us from enslavement and has given us a way out of the evil influence that Satan has upon us. The story of this world will come to an end - as I said earlier, we are here to witness the true character of both God and Lucifer. In this judgement, God, Lucifer, his followers and the human race are scrutinised and all thoughts, words and actions are included in this process to restore justice and peace!
(2 Corinthians 5:10)
If you are wondering why it is taking such a long time since Jesus died more than 2000 years ago, the answer is simple - time is different for us as for God and the other worlds - a day for God is like 1000 thousand years for us (Psalms 90:4).
This Easter, let us remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ the Son of God who became human to save us from our sins and give us the chance of eternal life - life like it was intended from the beginning. Life without pain, sickness or death!
We wish you a wonderful Easter.
