For this recipe, you need:
200g Red Lentils (buy here)
1 Onion
1-2 cloves of Garlic
2 Carrots
1tbs Tomato Puree (buy here)
1 tsp Agar Agar (buy here)
One pinch of Salt (buy here)
1 tsp Bouillon Powder (buy here)
Water
Step 1: Peel your onion, garlic carrots. Wash your lentils, mix your vegetables with the lentils and cook for 15-20 minutes until soft.
Step 2: Puree your lentils and, as your seasoning, tomato puree and agar-agar. You can taste it to ensure the seasoning is just right if you like.
Step 3: Bring it to boil once more - this will activate the agar-agar as a thickening agent.
Step 4: Rinse straight glasses with water and do not dry. Place a spoon into the glass (to prevent it from breaking) and add the prepared mixture into the glass. You can cover it with cling film or beeswax wraps. Let it cool down and place it for a few hours or the night in the fridge.
Step 4: Place a plate on the opening of the glass and turn around. The bread spread should come out in a cylinder shape. Slice and serve.
Bon Appetit!
