We all want beautiful skin and I am sure you know too well the feeling you have after investing in great skin products that promise picture-perfect skin only to be left spending pound over pounds with an unsatisfied feeling.
I have been there as well as so many of our clients.
The skin is the biggest organ and it does an amazing work fighting off all these external toxins and bacterias. But it also can show signs of allergies, intolerances and where we need to improve our lifestyle.
This brings us to the NewStart Program - we have dedicated a full blog post to this, to read it click here.
We also offer one-on-one consultations to find the source of your skin imbalance as it is not always easy to detect the cause. Please contact us here if you are interested in a one-on-one session.
Today I'd like to share a recipe I personally use and recommend - using only natural and non-toxic ingredients to strengthen your skin. This being said for a long term solution we recommend finding the cause, rather than just using a product or just work on symptoms.
I will explain all the ingredients and their benefits as well as different oils for different skin types, so you can get the best result.
Here is the recipe:
80 g Aloe Vera Gel (you can get it here)
60 ml With Hazel Water (you can get it here)
3 drops Lavender essential oil (you can get it here)
10 ml Jojoba oil (or any other carrier oil depending on your skin type) (you can get it here)
Cotton pads /pads/bulbs (you can get it here)
1 Jar (you can get it here)
- Mix 3 drops of the Lavender oil with the carrier oil of your choice ( I used Jojoba but depending on your skin you might want to choose a different oil, below I mention various oils for different skin types).
- Add Aloe Vera Gel and Witch Hazel water with the oil mixture and mix well.
- Add the cotton pads to the jar and pour the mixture above. Make sure all of the pads are moist and let them soak for a few minutes.
This product is great for daily skincare around the whole body. You can use it as a moisturizer, aftershave (for face and body), make-up remover, on itchy skin, to help with acne, wrinkles, it is even great for fighting off external haemorrhoids (a must-have for every pregnancy).
It is easy to make and you can be sure it is toxin-free and your skin can get a beautiful glow.
This being said many skin conditions are just a symptom of an underlying condition and if it is something you struggle with on a constant basis, please do not hesitate to have a chat with us.
Let me share with you the ingredients of my recipe and their benefits:
Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera is great externally and internally but today we focus on the external powers of Aloe Vera. What makes it so amazing for skin is that it contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamin A and C, and is highly anty-inflammatory. This means that using Aloe Vera for wounds, acne, eczema, burn and dry skin can promote healthier skin.
Witch Hazel Water
Witch Hazel water is another of our favourite skincare products. It can be used to tone up the skin, help to reduce the visibility of stretch marks, haemorrhoids, recovery from sunburn and nappy rash. It is also great against acne, helps against razer burns and can be used as a great makeup remover. If you have dry skin please make sure to get witch hazel water without alcohol as this can dry your skin even more.
Lavender essential oil
The lavender essential oil comes with many health benefits including benefits for the skin. It can help the healing process from burns and cuts, it can help to lighten the skin, reduce acne and can help with the appearance of wrinkles.
